Skill Requirements: Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Some university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): 2nd Period Apprentice, 3rd Period Apprentice
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Tool and Die Fabrication Experience: Gauges or instruments, Jigs and fixtures, Metal cutting, forming or bending dies, Compound or progressive transfer dies
Specific Skills: Machine tools to close tolerances, Verify dimensions of machine parts, Machine, fit and assemble parts, Program and set up numerically controlled machines
Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Job task planning and organizing, Computer useOther Information:Knowledge of mastercam or CAD CAM programs would be an asset for this position. Experience with Auto CAD is required.
